Addison began her career with the 2000/2001 National Tour of "Annie". She performed every orphan role before taking over the role of Annie when she was 9 years old. Her love of stage continued to several productions of Annie including Papermill Playhouse and the Theater of The Stars Tour alongside Conrad John Schuck before going on to Broadway as Baby Louise in "Gypsy" with Bernadette Peters..I don't want to be a teenybopper type of actress. American actress Addison Timlin rose to fame playing the title role in the National Touring production of “Annie” in 2000-2001. She hit Broadway a few years later in “Gypsy” (2003-2004), opposite Bernadette Peters. On screen, Timlin is probably best known for playing Amy Schine in Mikael Håfström's suspense drama “Derailed” (2005) and Emily Draper in the TV series “Cashmere Mafia” (2008).

“I feel like a lot of my friends who work now don't want to do it when they're older. Some of them are like, 'This is fun now, but when I grow up I want to be a mom in New Jersey.' And I'm like, 'That's weird.' For me, I know this is what I want to do. I've always felt like this is what I've wanted to do, forever.” Addison Timlin (on acting) Addison Timlin was born on June 29, 1991, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Jayne Timlin, an assistant at a mortgage firm, and R.J. Timlin, a real estate agent. Her parents are now divorced. Addison has one brother and two sisters. She attended the Professional Performing Arts School in New York City where she studied under Greg Parente.

Currently, Addison resides in Los Angeles. She is good friends with “Desperate Housewives” actress Andrea Bowen (born on March 4, 1990) and was once a classmate of Aleisha Allen from “School of Rock.Pennsylvania native Addison Timlin began acting in school plays when she was five years old. At age 8, she persuaded her parents to accompany her to Manhattan, New York, so she could audition for the musical “Annie.” She won the role in the 2000 and 2001 National Touring production of the show. Addison went on to play Annie in several different productions of the play, including the Papermill Playhouse production and the Theater of The Stars Tour before hitting Broadway in May 2003 with the role of Baby Louise in a revival of “Gypsy” at the Shubert Theatre. Directed by Sam Mendes, the show ran for a year until May 2004.

Branching out to films, Timlin made her debut in “Derailed” (2005), a thriller directed by Mikael Håfström and adapted from James Siegel's novel of the same name. In the movie, she convincingly played Amy Schine, the diabetic daughter of Melissa George and Clive Owen. The following year, she portrayed Maddy in the short film “The Isabel Fish,” which was written and directed by Lara Zizic. She made her television debut as Charlotte Hanson in the short lived CBS series “3 lbs.,” starring Stanley Tucci as her onscreen father, Dr. Douglas Hanson.

In 2008, Timlin appeared in “Man,” Myna Joseph's 15 minute drama that won the Festival Award for Best Student Producer at the 2007 Columbia University Film Festival. The same year, she returned to television with the recurring role of Emily Draper in the ABC short lived series “Cashmere Mafia.” She then portrayed Amy in the independent film “Afterschool,” helmed by Antonio Campos. “Afterschool” premiered at The Cannes Film Festival on May 18, 2008. About doing the film, she stated, “I'm so excited to be here at the Miami Film Festival. I got to go to the Cannes Film Festival and New York Film Festival and both of them were such wonderful experiences, but here, especially the weather has really been a nice change from New York. But everyone is just so nice and it's really great to see these films and being in an American Film Festival and to be able to represent 'Afterschool.' It's something I'm very proud of and I'm very happy to be here. It's been a really great time.”

Recently, Timlin played Hayley Kozlow in an episode of “Law & Order” called “Memo from the Dark Side,” which aired on September 25, 2009. She has completed filming an action pilot for NBC called “Day One,” which is scheduled for a 2010 release. In the series, she will play a rebellious teenager named Hunter.

To aid her professionally, Addison got herself a talent agent who helped her break into Broadway where she received a $70,000 salary for her appearance in Gypsy, with Sam Mendes at the helm. In 2005, Timlin landed her first-ever film role as Amy Schine, the diabetic daughter of Clive Owen and Melissa George in the suspense drama Derailed. Owen was most impressed with her performance as he considered her "terribly smart" and having "a very long future because she's terribly shrewd."

Addison continued improving on her craft and enrolled in the prestigious Professional Performing Arts School in New York City under the tutelage of Greg Parente. While studying, Timlin booked several film and television projects including the role of Charlotte Hanson, Stanley Tucci's daughter on the short-lived CBS medical drama 3 Lbs. and the character Amy in the indie film Afterschool, which played in several international film festivals including Cannes and Tribeca. In 2009, Addison was chosen to star as the rebellious, sassy teenager Hunter in the post-apocalyptic NBC serie
