One of the fashion highlights of this year's awards show circuit has most certainly been "Black Swan" actress Mila Kunis. From her feiry red Alexander McQueen at the SAG Awards to her emerald green Vera Wang at the Golden Globes, the 27-year-old has not missed a style beat. And Sunday's 83rd Annual Academy Awards ceremony was no exception. Mila flaunted a lovely lilac Elie Saab gown that left many a red-carpet watcher drooling. But, rather surprisingly, the dress had closet competition. This was one of the first dresses we tried on a month ago," Mila explained to our own Josh Horowitz while walking the red carpet. "Then today, it was a toss-up between this dress and another dress, and this one won." It's hard to believe any other dress stood a chance!
When asked what tipped the scales in this dress' favor, Mia responded, "I don't know. I just put it on and it felt right. The other dress was beautiful and stunning, you know. There was no wrong answer."
If Mila's red carpet approach sounds a bit laissez-faire, it's probably because she doesn't feel a lot of pressure to impress. "I'm sure for my stylist it is," she explained. "I just have to put the dress on." Yeah, couldn't get much easier than that!

Though she wasn't nominated for an Oscar, Mila did receive recognition for her role and picked up nominations at both the Golden Globes and the SAG awards. Later this year, she goes back to her funny roots starring across Justin Timberlake in Friends with Benefits.
The 83rd Annual Academy Awards were held February 27, 2011 at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood. James Franco and Anne Hathaway hosted the festivities, which honored the best films of 2010. Hathaway, who employed her stylist gal pal Rachel Zoe to dress her for the event, looked fabulous as always. And as well she should: Zoe's fee was reportedly astronomical!
