Alana de la Garza  is an American actress. She is most famous for her role as A.D.A. Connie Rubirosa on the television series Law & Order and its spinoff, Law & Order: Los Angeles.

Alana De La Garza was born in Columbus, Ohio and later relocated to Texas, ultimately attending the University of Texas. After college, she moved to Orlando, Florida, landing roles in a number of independent films as well as commercials. Her work took her to New York, where she studied extensively under renowned acting instructor JoAnna Beckson.Alana De La Garza — whose CSI: Miami character, Marisol, was famously murdered in the Season 4 finale –  is on her way back to the sun-baked CBS procedural, TVLine has confirmed.

Specifically, De La Garza will reprise her role of Delko’s sister/Horatio’s wife in the Season 10 opener, which is set to air Sunday, Sept.25.

How can this be? When you think about it, there are only a handful of ways to accommodate such an unlikely return — and sources tell me the show is going with one of the tried-and-true options. I choose to let you find out firsthand, but for those who need a crumb more, co-executive producer Barry O’Brien told TVGuide.com (which broke the casting news) that in the wake of being shot himself and upon Marisol’s reappearance, Horatio “is able for the first time to deal with and perhaps process that intimate and devastating loss in his life.”De La Garza is on a bit of a “comeback” tour as of late, having recently reprised her Law & Orderverse role of Connie Rubirosa on the NBC franchise’s ill-fated L.A.-based offshoot. If she hurries, she can get in a last crack at All My Children‘s Rosa “sister of Eva La Rue’s Maria” Santos before that ABC sudser goes dark.Alana de la Garza has the look of a centerfold. She’s sleek with long, brown hair, a golden tan and sharp features. She channels a little bit of wholesome Charlotte from Sex and the City, but in a “gone bad” kind of way. She was photographed for Maxim in 2002, and she didn’t hold back any punches in delivering quite a few hot looks for the spread. In 2004, she appeared in Maxim again, this time clad in leather with the backdrop of a fence and a rottweiler running loose behind her. Anyone who can pull off leather and a rottweiler has sex appeal enough for us.

Alana de la Garza was born June 18, 1976, in Columbus, Ohio. She was brought up in El Paso, Texas, by her Mexican-American father and Irish-American mother. In 1989, Alana entered the El Paso Miss Teen USA beauty pageant. She was awarded the title of Miss Photogenic, which served to pay off later in her acting career.

After completing high school, Alana took on the role of teacher for special-needs children. She then decided to attend The University of Texas where she studied physical therapy and social work. It was after Alana completed her degree that the acting bug bit her.
